Quando não posso apanhar um avião e ir pelo mundo descobrir novas culturas e gastronomias, tento viajar sem sair da cidade. Como quando vou até ao Le Brunch Parisien experimentar uma das especialidades de la cuisine française e me sinto como se estivesse na capital desse país. E é bem ao estilo parisiense que o espaço está decorado, com as suas mesas redondas com tampo de mármore e as cadeiras em vime com padrões elegantes, os sofás em veludo azul e as molduras douradas, os empregados com boina e suspensórios.

Nada foi deixado ao acaso, o que torna este sítio tão confortável e cheio de caráter, criando um ambiente de salão de chá elegante e acolhedor. À frente há uma esplanada sobre calçada portuguesa e lá atrás fica um jardim interior com árvores e esplanada, ideal para os dias mais quentes. No menú constam muitos
dos clássicos da gastronomia francesa que podemos provar ao longo de todo o dia: croissants, pain au chocolate, tartines, panquecas, tarte tatin, chaux St. Germain, crème brulée, tábuas de queijos e enchidos, etc. A desfrutar na forma de brunch buffet ao domingo.

When I can’t catch a plane and go somewhere discovering new cultures and gastronomy, I try to travel without leaving the city. Like when I go to Le Brunch Parisien to try one of the specialties of la cuisine française and I feel like I’m in Paris. And it is in the Parisian style that the space is decorated, with its round tables with marble top and wicker chairs with elegant patterns, blue velvet sofas and gold frames, employees with beret and suspenders.

Nothing was left to chance, which makes this place so comfortable and full of character, creating an elegant and cozy tea room ambience. In the front there is a street terrace over Portuguese sidewalk (“calçada portuguesa”) and at the backyard there is an interior garden with trees and tables, great for the warmer days. In the menu we can find many of the French cuisine’s classics that we can taste all day long: croissants, pain au chocolate, tartines, pancakes, tarte tatin, chaux St. Germain, crème brulée, cheese boards, etc. All this to enjoy as a brunch buffet on Sundays.
